A new study published in the journal Stroke suggests that men who have had a heart attack should not take Viagra or other similar drugs that increase blood flow to the penis.
The study found that of the 1,900 men who had a heart attack, 69% of them had an erection while experiencing chest pains. In some cases, the men had to go to the hospital because of an extreme erection that could not be treated at home. The researchers concluded that the drugs could cause a stroke or heart attack in men with existing heart disease because they increase blood flow to the penis and cause it to beat faster, which in turn may cause a clot to form in one of the men’s arteries.
Even more alarming is that other studies have found that erection drugs prescribed for men with spinal cord injuries can cause the arteries to narrow and become clogged. In other words, the medications may do more harm than good if taken by certain patients.
The study’s author, Dr. Gary Reardon, said men who have already had a heart attack and are taking prescription erection drugs should discuss the possible risks with their doctor. Dr. Reardon also suggested that men who are taking nitrates – which are commonly found in prescription pills and in some over-the-counter medications – should not take Viagra because it can cause a dangerous reaction. The nitrates can help relax muscles in the leg and cause the arteries to open up, which may cause a clot to form. This can lead to a heart attack or stroke. The doctor further stated that men with diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease should not take Viagra or similar medications because they can cause harm to the circulatory system. Lastly, men with prostate problems should not take any type of erection drug because it can cause irreversible damage to their sexual organs.
To be clear, Viagra is not the only medication that can cause an erection. Other commonly prescribed medications for prostate problems, including finasterides and dutasteride, can cause erections as well. However, in most cases, these drugs are used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or enlarged prostate. BPH is not dangerous, and it usually goes away after a few years of use. Still, if a medication causes a problem and you are not sure whether or not it’s harmful, it’s best to avoid it.
Is It Possible To Take Viagra Without Any Risks?
It is possible to take Viagra without any risks, but it’s important to understand the different forms that the drug comes in. In general, Viagra is safe for most men to take, as long as they are not at risk for an erection that lasts more than four hours. If you fit that category, have a look at all the forms of the medication that you can purchase online or at your local pharmacy.
The only real risk that comes along with taking Viagra is getting injured while performing an erection that lasts more than four hours. If you experience any chest pain or dizziness while taking the medication, or if the effects last longer than four hours, then it’s best to consult with your doctor. In most cases, this will be a sign that you’re at risk of having a heart attack or stroke, due to your existing heart disease.
Use Caution When Taking Viagra With Alcohol
It is best to avoid taking Viagra when you are also drinking alcohol. While it is not dangerous to take the drug with alcohol, it may cause adverse reactions, including headaches, dizziness, and drowsiness. In some cases, men taking Viagra with alcohol have had heart attacks and strokes. If you experience any of these symptoms while taking the drug, then it’s best to stop drinking alcohol and see a doctor. In most cases, this will be simple to do and your health will improve dramatically.
Is It Safe To Take Viagra With Spicy Food?
Some men have reported that taking Viagra with spicy food can cause an adverse reaction. The reason behind this is that nitrates, which are found in both peppers and spices, can cause the body to produce more blood vessels, which in turn can cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure. For this reason, it’s best to avoid taking spicy food and alcohol while on Viagra. Otherwise, you may experience dizziness, headaches, and other symptoms that could be worse than the ED you’re trying to treat.
Is It Safe To Take Viagra With Peanuts Or Other Crude Seeds?
It is not safe to take Viagra with peanuts or other types of crude seeds, since these seeds contain a substance known as arginine. The arginine in peanuts and other seeds can cause an increase in blood pressure, which in some cases, has led to heart attacks and strokes. In most cases, this is an issue for men who also have diabetes or kidney disease, but it can happen to anyone. If you take Viagra with any type of seed, then it’s best to avoid eating any food with nuts or other seeds for a couple of hours before and after the dose.
What About Over-the-Counter Drugs That Can Erect You?
In some cases, men have used over-the-counter drugs to treat erectile dysfunction. While it is not always dangerous to do this, there are sometimes risks associated with these types of medications. It is best to be aware of the side effects of these drugs, which can include headaches, dizziness, and drowsiness. If you experience any of these side effects while taking an over-the-counter erection drug, then it’s best to consult with your doctor. In most cases, this will be a minor issue and something you need to consider before you start taking the medication.
Do These Medications Discourage Further Sexual Activity?
In some cases, men who take Viagra or similar medications experience a loss of desire for sex. This is mostly due to the fact that these medications increase blood flow to certain areas of the body, including the genitals. Sometimes this is desirable – for example, if you have hypertension (high blood pressure) and you’re taking a medication to reduce your blood pressure – but in other cases it can cause problems. If you experience any sort of desire loss while taking these medications, then it’s best to consult with your doctor.
What About Alternatives To Viagra?
If you’re looking for a medication that is proven to be more effective and has fewer side effects than Viagra, then you should consider trying tadalafil. This is a medication that was developed to treat pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) and is used to improve how blood vessels react to stimuli, such as sexual arousal or exercise. Tadalafil is not yet approved in the United States, but it can be purchased legally abroad and is widely available.
Other medications that have been proven to be effective in treating ED include vardenafil and sildenafil. These medications dilate the blood vessels, which in turn increases blood flow to the penis. However, vardenafil and sildenafil are more commonly used to treat patients with pulmonary hypertension and in some cases, patients with hyper-tension (high blood pressure).
There are multiple medications that can be used to treat ED. Still, Viagra remains the most common treatment because it is the only medication that has been proven to work in most cases. If you’re interested in trying a medication to treat your ED, then it’s best to consult with your doctor so that he can help you choose the right treatment for you.
