The makers of the popular ED drug Viagra have come up with an alternative that’s better for you and the environment. Called Revatio, it’s been around for a few years but just recently had its packaging changed to make it more eco-friendly. Let’s take a closer look at this new alternative to Viagra and whether or not it’s worth switching to.

The Problem With The Original

In the 1990s, Viagra was introduced as a solution to the problem of erectile dysfunction (ED). It was a revolutionary solution at the time – one that allowed men to get an erection when they couldn’t before, or at least gave them more time to complete the process. It was a monumental achievement that changed the way we look at ED and other conditions that affect male sexual function.

Unfortunately, while Viagra was a great solution to a problem, it was also a very effective one. According to the FDA, it’s only effective for about 80% of users, and if it does work, it can have significant side effects. Some of the more common side effects include low blood pressure, headache, and dizziness. In rare instances, it’s been known to cause heart attack or stroke. For this reason, it’s important to monitor your blood pressure while on the medication and know how to prevent or deal with the side effects if they occur.

The Advantage Of Revatio

Developers of Revatio wanted to solve the problem of ED without causing as many side effects as Viagra. To that end, they altered the chemical structure of Viagra so that it no longer has its blood pressure lowering effects. Instead, Revatio is effective in increasing blood flow to the penis and in relaxing the muscles in the penis to allow for a better erection. It also has additional benefits that make it more suitable for some men than Viagra is, particularly since it doesn’t need to be taken with food.

While the benefits of Revatio are significant, it’s not yet been established whether or not it’s also a better solution to the problem of ED given the additional cardiovascular risks that come with taking Viagra. That said, it’s still a better solution than the alternatives that were available prior to its creation, so if the risk of side effects is acceptable to you, you should consider trying it.

How Long Does It Take For Revatio To Work?

We don’t have very good information on how long it takes for Revatio to work. What we do know is that it takes a minimum of four weeks for it to start showing results and that once it starts working, it takes about four hours for it to have the full effect. In some cases, it can take as much as 12 hours to have the full effect. In rare instances, it can take as long as 24 hours or more.

This makes it slightly more cumbersome to use than Viagra, since you have to wait at least four weeks before you know if it’s working or not. If you do decide that it is, you then have to wait four hours for it to have its full effect, which means you may not be able to have sex for four hours after taking it.

As you may have guessed, this is a major downside to Revatio – making it less convenient to use than Viagra, particularly since it doesn’t necessarily need to be taken right before sex. For this reason, some men may choose to skip a meal beforehand or take a medication that reduces stomach acid to make sure the Revatio is properly digested before or during sex.

Is It Safe To Take Revatio If You’re Already Taking Other Prescriptions?

Unfortunately, we don’t have very good information on whether or not it’s safe to take Revatio if you’re already taking other medications. It’s usually not recommended that you take both Revatio and heart medication at the same time, but since we don’t know how the two will react together, it’s safest to be on the conservative side.

In some cases, it may be okay to take Revatio with an antibiotic, such as tetracycline or erythromycin, since they don’t always interact well with other medication. This is something your doc will need to determine for you.

As mentioned, one of the significant downsides to Revatio is that it doesn’t always work the first time you try it. Even when it does work, it doesn’t always work for all men. In these cases, you have to try it again to see if it works for you or if you need to change medications.

Where Can I Buy Revatio In My Area?

Developers of Revatio decided to make it more convenient for men to get the medication they need. In some cases, this may mean travelling to a different state or country to get it. If this is the case, you may have to contact your doctor to get an authorization to buy the medication.

It’s not yet clear whether or not insurance will cover the cost of the drug, so you might have to pay for it yourself or get a co-pay card. Regardless, it’s still more convenient for men to be able to get the medication they need without having to spend too much time looking for a pharmacy that carries it and without having to worry about whether or not their insurance will cover the costs.

What Are The Ingredients?

In general, Revatio is a combination of tadalafil (Cialis) and vardenafil (Levitra) along with some other substances. It’s a combination that offers a more comprehensive solution than either of the individual components. In addition to increasing blood circulation to the penis and easing the muscles for a better erection, the ingredients in Revatio work to improve sexual performance in ways that are independent of one another.

The main ingredient in the drug is tadalafil, which is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor. The other main ingredient is vardenafil, which is a PDE5 inhibitor. These substances improve the ability of the blood to carry oxygen, which in turn improves blood flow to the genital areas and allows for better orgasms and more satisfying sex.

Other ingredients in Revatio include:

  • Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HPBCD)
  • Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)
  • Tocotrienol (Tocotrienol)
  • Menthol
  • Acesulfame potassium (Acesulfame potassium)
  • Methylparaben

It’s not yet clear what role, if any, these ingredients play in improving sexual health. However, they do offer advantages that may make them suitable for some men. For example, the tocotrienol in Revatio has been shown in studies to have positive effects on prostate health. There is also some evidence that menthol can be effective in relieving the pain associated with prostate problems. Finally, the methylparaben in the drug has been shown in studies to have some protective properties against UV radiation and skin cancer.

Is It Worth Switching To?

While it’s not yet clear whether or not you should switch to Revatio, it’s still a better solution than the alternatives that were available prior to its creation. In addition to having fewer and less severe side effects than Viagra, it also has additional benefits that make it more suitable for certain men. It isn’t yet established whether or not these additional benefits justify the increased risk of side effects that come with using this drug, so you should consult with your doctor before you make any decision.
