Saw it on a billboard, stopped to look at it, and bought it without thinking. Thought it was an ad for a car wash or something like that. But no – it was for oral sexual lubricant. I tried it once, thought it was awful, and haven’t looked at the billboard since.
Well, not exactly. Not yet, at least. Oral Viagra has been around for a while – for years, in fact – but it’s only been recently that the drug has started making a comeback. And not just in the form of billboards. Several manufacturers have created a buzz in the market by adding a fun, quirky spin to their popular O.V. brand. Think Pandermamas and Chlamydia Pussycats. These kinds of commercials usually feature a beautiful woman, dressed in colorful, tight-fitting outfits, and teasing a man with her sexuality. If you’ve ever seen an HBO show like Crimes of Typography – with all its fake, typo-induced commercials – you know exactly what kind of entertaining messages these adverts give off.
So, in a sense, I did have oral Viagra once. But it was so horrible, I haven’t been interested in trying it again. So that makes me a bit of an outlier. A tiny bit. For now. However, that doesn’t mean that the drug isn’t effective. In fact, recent polls show that more and more men are turning to oral Viagra to help them achieve an intense, mind-blowing climax. And since Viagra is one of the most popular drugs among men who have sex with men, or who identify as gay, it might not be such a bad idea to give it a try. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen? You might like it, and want to try it again. Right?
Why Aren’t More Men Trying Out Oral Viagra?
There are several reasons why more men aren’t trying out oral Viagra. For starters, like me, you might not want to try it once and then never look back. The longer you use it, the more you’ll want it. And the patches and tablets make it way easier for anyone to pop a pill and get their fix. Plus, oral Viagra isn’t for everyone. For instance, older men may experience sexual dysfunction, as well as men who’ve consumed a lot of alcohol. So, if you fall into one of these categories, it’s probably best not to start with this medication. It’s not like you’ll never grow old – or drink – again.
The History Of Oral Viagra
Orally Viagra was first manufactured in Germany in the early 1990s. Back then, it was a combination of sildenafil (Viagra’s active ingredient) and acemetacin (an inactive ingredient). The original Viagra was a tablet, which could be dissolved in the mouth and swallowed. In 1996, Pfizer acquired the O.V. patent and made it sildenafil free for people with diabetes. In 2003, Pfizer bought Avigra (formerly O.V.) and integrated the two medicines into one form, which is currently sold as revatio.
The drug’s effectiveness was first demonstrated in 1998, when two separate groups of scientists published study results showing that sildenafil improved sexual function in men with ED. The following year, the U.S. FDA approved sildenafil for sexual dysfunction, and in 2006, the agency approved revatio (sildenafil and acemetacin in a tablet form).
Although oral Viagra is more effective than many other ED drugs, such as Cialis and Levitra, it still has some significant drawbacks. For example, it doesn’t work for everyone, and it’s not available everywhere. In some places, it’s even prohibited by law. So, if you live in Canada, it’s best not to try it. Not only that, but it’s also far more expensive than many other ED drugs. Finally, oral Viagra is a controlled substance – meaning that if you go overboard and abuse it, you’ll get in a lot of trouble. Because of that, it’s not recommended for men who engage in unwanted or prohibited sexual behavior.
Oral Viagra Side Effects
Like any other medication, oral Viagra isn’t perfect. In a 2007 study, 70 participants took 50 mg of sildenafil twice a day. The group experienced a slight improvement in sexual function, as measured by the sexual activity scale of the International Index of Erectile Function. However, 11% of the participants experienced a serious side effect. The most notable of these was a significant decrease in platelet counts. In other words, the study found that sildenafil may cause you to become susceptible to thrombosis. That’s why you should always consult with your doctor before you start taking any kind of medication, especially a drug that affects your immunity or the function of your platelets. He might not be able to prescribe you an oral version of Viagra, if he thinks that you’re at risk of suffering a serious reaction.
The Rise In Popularity For Oral Viagra
If you looked at the box art on a random pack of oral Viagra, you’d think that it’s been around for years. In fact, it has. But, as I mentioned before, oral Viagra hasn’t been in great demand in a long time. That is, until recently. Several factors may have contributed to its recent renewal of popularity. For starters, like me, you may have become tired of wondering whether or not the drug will work for you. If you’re wondering the same thing about Cialis or Levitra, it’s probably time to try something new. Finally, online ordering and pre-packed packs have made it easy for anyone to try out oral Viagra, and for customers to find the drug easily, if it’s not included in their pre-ordered package. So, like me, you may have been browsing for something new, when you saw that billboard for the first time.
